    The purpose of the Integrated Electronic Security System (IESS) Lifecycle Engineering Support is to ensure functionality and proper operability of all existing and newly-installed SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic IESS equipment at NPTU. IESS equipment includes automated access control systems (AACS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), closed circuit television (CCTV) video assessment and recording, and early warning (perimeter) detection systems. The Life Cycle Engineering Support is used to maintain the integrity of Navy IESS equipment by performing corrective and preventive maintenance as well as configuration and inventory management. Where advantageous to the government, performance of system upgrades, modifications, and/or small installations will be performed.

    Responsibilities

    Work under this Contract will comprise of project management and technical support services required for the sustainment and life cycle support of the IESS.  The current electronic security components that will be maintained at site are:

    • Southwest Microwave Systems
    • Defensive Fighting Positions (DFPs)(8 total), equipment included in each DFP below:
    • Pier Full Height Turnstiles - Boon Edam Turnlock 100 - (6)
    • SALLY PORT: Underground Vehicle Surveillance System - K12 Barriers and Sliding Gate
    • Security Area Entry Point (SAEP): Full Height Turnstiles, ADA Portals, Metal Detection Portals, X-ray Machines with Conveyor, and Biometrics
    • CCTV: PELCO Cameras, PELCO Endura Video Management System, and FLIR
    • Network: CISCO, Security Emergency Alarm System (SEAS)
    • Door Controls/Hardware: BMS, Maglock, and Card Readers
    • Operating Systems: CCURE 9000, iSTAR Ultra
    • Monitors: PELCO MPCL, and PELCO Desktop

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED.
    • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
    • Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
    • Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout. Two (2) years of experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices. Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation, and six (6) years of experience with the "Specific Projects". Note: Experience may be concurrent.
    • Preferred certifications: Software House CCURE 9000, PELCO Certification, Southwest Microwave Certification
    • Ability to obtain/and maintain a government security clearance.
    • Ability to gain access to military and government buildings and installations.
