Position Summary:  Maintenance and Services for Access Control Point (ACP), Electronic and Physical Security Systems, Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS) and Other Electronic Systems




  • Preventive maintenance tasks, which are defined as re-current, periodic or scheduled work required to maintain optimal equipment performance or preserve equipment by preventing its deterioration
  • Minor repair, which is defined as the repair/replacement of equipment to such a condition that it may effectively be utilized for its designated purpose by overhaul, re-processing or replacement of constituent parts or materials that have deteriorated by action or elements or usage and that have not been corrected through maintenance
  • Corrective maintenance, replace or repair failed, damaged, or defective hardware, software, instrumentation, and controls on the equipment specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). Repair may be overhaul, reprocessing, or replacement of nonfunctional parts or materials that have failed or deteriorated by action of the elements or usage and have not been corrected through maintenance, or it is the replacement for the entire unit or system if beyond economical repair.  Repair work may also include inspecting, testing, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, calibration, and part or component replacement and programming as required completing the service call repair
  • Prepare service orders (SO’s) describing the work to be performed and the price/cost and will submit the service order to the Government Ordering Officer for approval
  • Provide recommendations to the Government in regards to replacing equipment that has exceeded its useful service life or cannot perform without excessive repairs, advise when re-commissioning is required (for instances where control programs are changed or reprogrammed, new controls are installed or control wiring is significantly reworked
  • Maintain databases and records of the maintenance effort as defined in this PWS
  • Manages parts inventory, coordinates shipment of parts for repair and replenishment, and maintains the inventory of tools



  • Service Tech shall have a minimum of three (3) years knowledge installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic equipment such as Grab 300, Delta Scientific Wedge Barrier, RSSI electrical wedge barrier, Nasatka wedge barrier a plus
  • Service Tech shall have a minimum of three (3) years knowledge in the mechanics field (Hydraulics, electrical components, pressure hoses, any electromechanical components)
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Service Tech shall be able to perform the technical aspects of work and convey information clearly in written form and orally in English
  • Service Tech must have working knowledge of program logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Must be willing to take after hours emergency repair calls and respond as needed
  • Certification in or experience on crash-rated vehicle barrier systems
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Experience with and utilization of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
