Overview

Low voltage systems installation, programming and testing. Some field engineering may be required. Coordinates between junior technicians, subcontractors and LVW engineering/project management to execute installation of advanced electronic systems. Required to provide highly-skilled technical expertise to ensure project success, including ability to install audio, video, electronic communications, presentation systems equipment, video teleconferencing (VTC), cabling and high-quality terminations

Responsibilities

Duties: 
  • Represent LVW and perform requested duties related to logical security and Information Assurance (IA).
  • Examine, analyze and recommend repairs to policies and controls to ensure compliance with IA requirements.
  • Develop and publish IA-related documentation, controls and artefacts.
  • Perform IA-related customer support functions including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance and training regarding computing, network and enclave environments. 
  • Install, test, maintain and upgrade network operating systems software and hardware to comply with IA requirements, to include the installation and management of perimeter defense systems in accordance with IA requirements.
  • Provide end-user support for IA-related applications for the network environment.
  • Identify, analyze and plan for the mitigation of vulnerabilities in a given network environment, to include the development of Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), implementation of applicable patches, including IAVAs, IAVBs and TAs for a given network environment. 
  • Provide leadership and direction regarding the performance of work related to existing IA requirements as well as the development of new work incorporating IA requirements. 
  • Examine, analyze and plan IA implementation as needed on a project-by-project basis. 
  • Participate in the development of pricing and technical proposals involving IA-related requirements. 

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:
  • BS in computer science or information assurance or other related technical field. 
  • 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity or information assurance field, whether for public or private entities. 
  • If no degree, must have at least 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity field in addition to the 10-year experience requirement.
  • IAT-III-level certification (including CASP, CISSP (preferred), or CISA) 
  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Must possess one or more Operating System (OS) certifications (e.g., (Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Oracle...etc.) or a certificate of completion from an authorized training course for one or more OS
Other Qualifications: 
  • If the candidate possesses an IAT-II-level certification, and at least 5 years of IA experience, may consider waiving the IAT-III requirement for the right candidate and providing training/certification costs to obtain IAT-III certification.  
  • Experience working for contractors with Federal clients a plus.
  • Experience working for EFI&T firms a plus.
  • Cisco Certification - CCNA Security & CCNA Network Router and Switching
  • Understanding and familiarity with operational requirements of Federal sites a plus.

Compensation:  Depends on experience and level of education/certification.
